Hello, I'm Low Tide Jewels.

Having lived by the ocean for over 50 years my work is strongly influenced by the coastal environment.My jewelry career began by working for a designer ​/​ goldsmith ; having an art background I was able to learn fairly quickly and began wanting to create my own jewelry line which eventually led me to combine my love of sea glass and metal smithing . I love the spontaneous process of creating and recycling materials on hand which again led me to creating sculptural pieces with sea shells ​,​ sea glass and driftwood ; often embellished with broken jewelry and beads ; I named them Merangels ;(part angel​/​ part mermaid). Lately I have been doing many other projects other than jewelry ; mixed media and barn wood paintings ; sun catchers ( Love notes ) and ornaments . Whatever the medium it always reflects my love of the ocean. I strive to let my beach finds shine with their unique natural beauty and emulate the wild and ever changing magnificent ocean ; which plays a significant role in shaping and delivering all the wonderful beach treasures that I find ​,​hence the name ​,​ Low Tide Jewels
